Fullness.

What it means in interior design.

Fullness is the ratio of curtain fabric width to the width of the track or pole. More fullness means deeper folds and a richer drape.

In practice

About 2× fullness reads generous for most headings; under 1.5× looks skimpy, whatever the fabric costs. Mounting the track near the ceiling and past the window frame makes windows look taller and wider.
